When It Rains, It Pours

After a warm days break, the thunder, lightning and rain revisited. This time a little better prepared, a large upturned plant pot shielded the tender Basil.
Although, usually it is nice and light in the evening, it was pitch black around six (see pic).
Again after it lasted just half an hour and once receding, I was able to take this. At the back, the spent Asparagus protruding like snorkels.
Having read Hedgewizard’s comments on rot, my concerns are now toward the garlic.

How long did the water sit in puddles like that? Did it drain away fairly quickly or did it stand for ages? That will influence the likelihood of rot.

I hope not too optimistic to take the fairly quickly option. Quite a bit of the spill had already disappeared by the time the second photo had been taken. All gone by the next morning, plenty of birds for a change!
It’s still damp out there, but nothing swimming. I guess that’s the difference between ages and fairly quickly – the amount of water??

Ade, I can’t see a comment box on your most recent post. Have you changed something?

Sorry about that, in between sneezes I must have clicked on something (perhaps more on the sneezing later).
The comment field should be okay now.
Back to the sick bed.
