A new card

I’m really happy to have received a replacement graphics card inside a week. I was entitled to a repair or replacement. Instead the supplier met my request to exchange it for one produced by Sapphire, another manufacturer. Japan gets an extra point.
I didn’t get much joy from ASUS technical support. To be fair, returns are dealt with by the supplier. However, they could have done better than suggesting they just supply manuals and cables and then ‘elevate’ my ticket.
The new card has the same 4870 chip, yet is so quiet. At present, the temp is around 45°C with the fan barely spinning. It seems a great swap. The previous card would sound like a jet engine to maintain that sort of figure.
