English garden

It would have been nice to have spent more time in gardens; especially beer gardens, but alas our time in England is coming to an end. I was encouraged to see that the town’s allotments had expanded and not developed unlike the immediate surrounds. The other allotments went that way over a decade ago before the recent interest.

One thing that struck me was how the hedgerows and verges seem to have been left alone. It could be the weather, economic climate, or for which I hope, a bid to support wildlife. In the garden centres there are more bee boxes and so on. Information too, on which plants are good such as buddleja.
