It’s been said countless times before, yet it’s surprising just how quickly babies turn into children. It’s also surprising just how quickly the time passes once you have them. Kento will be three in the summer and is already playing older brother; singing and comforting Maya. This month, he managed to take off her clothes and nappy, before seating himself beside her nicely as if nothing had happened. He’s also making his own toilet training efforts; rather than call for help, he’ll slink off to make toilet himself. Maya is just content to smile and make peculiar noises all the time.

Kento SO cute! Age 3 is my favorite. They do, and say, the funniest things. Does he like to garden?

He likes to hide my trowel. We did manage to sow a couple of rows of potatoes together and he’s keen on reciting the plant names.

How sweet to have a little gardening buddy! My daughter, Madeleine, has hung out with me in the garden since she was Kento’s age. Every time I’d fill a hole with water, she’d throw various Pokemon into it. She’s 11 now, but she still comes outside whenever I’m in the garden.

I’ve unearthed a few cars and other toys so far. Hopefully, I can start to get him to do the weeding now…
It’s nice to have to company and for them to learn or just enjoy something; as long as it isn’t football amongst the cabbages.
