Sakura

Sakura

The cherry blossom has been out a good week, which was a bad week weather wise. Late Sunday morning, the four of us met another couple of parties at a nearby park to sit and enjoy the sakura. Despite everyone else in the jumpers/jackets, I found it a hot day and was glad to settle down after quite a trek. This didn’t last long as Kento was particularly excited and wanted to race around the barbecue for the afternoon. This made tiring work with Maya tucked up in the sling.

Do you know that old saying, hana yori dango? It means (not literally, but really) “The food is better than the flowers.”

If it was stressful, you didn’t have enough beer and bbq in you.

I got my fill once we got home. Think it will be my turn to relax next time.

Maya is a sweet heart! You will be so excited when she begins to do different things. It doesn’t take long for them to grow up into toddlers. Cherish each stage of growth.

I have my first grandchild. He is 8 months old now and his name is Xavier. He hasn’t wanted to make too many baby talking sounds, but he’s been singing since he was 6-1/2 months old!

    Take lots of pictures!

As much as I like film cameras, the digital point-and-shoot is terrific. Kento took awhile before he started to talk, it was mostly gibberish, but most people thought it was English.
