The girls are back

The girls stay in the clinic came yesterday to an end. Instead of staying, I made two or three visits each day. Over the standard stay of four nights, changes in them both are clear. Ritsue seems disappointed that she hadn’t lost much weight after the birth. The bump appears to have moved upwards and split in two. Maya’s nappy contents shifted from the bitumen-like meconium to mustard yellow (or yellow mustard). Every event had a touch of déjà vu. There was even a brief question over bilirubin levels. Last night was different. I had an excellent night’s sleep. Kento slept like a log and apparently Maya only woke three times.

Ah, meconium. I remember my first experience with trying to get that nasty tarry stuff off a delicate baby butt…
They make you crazy, but what would life be without them?
…..Alan.

Isn’t that women? The black stuff on the other hand doesn’t stick around.
