Underpowered Yorkshire Puddings

Although parsnips at Christmas were a boon, getting light and fluffy Yorkshire Puddings proved impossible. Regardless of a foolproof recipe, they just would not rise. I’m sure the problem is the オーブンレンジ (oven range). It just isn’t a fair contender. The microwave/oven combo isn’t able to get back up to temperate quick enough once the door is opened.
Instead of being fed by a dedicated ring main (or whatever the Japanese equivalent is), it has to make do with the same as the rest of the downstairs appliances (and at the same time). Here each circuit is protected with a 20A breaker. To add to this, the country probably has the lowest single phase current in the world.
Perhaps I can heat the tin on the gas stove, or use a blow torch, or have Christmas dinner in the middle of summer?
