FOE. These have been at my spuds and sweet potatoes. These are probably the worst pests I’ve encountered. They also eat onion bulbs, leaving the stem and roots behind.
Having done so, will then fan out. I’ve been told, that a single grub is capable of getting through takusan (a lot).

Over the course of the year, I’ve been fairly fortunate with bugs eating the wrong plants. From the beginning I have wanted to keep the use of chemicals as a last resort.

IMPARTIAL. These don’t seem to be a foe. I am glad I’ve worn boots as these can be as big as a centimeter.
I have noticed however that they seem to farm little aphids, rather than eating them.
Probably don’t want them to disturb a new seed bed, unsure if they eat seeds?

FOE. Think a few don’t do any harm but can quickly engulf a plant and sap it’s growth. Used a toothbrush dipped in soapy water. It worked very well.

FOE. I have been trying milk, sprayed on the brassicas - it didn’t seem to help. Any fat ones get squashed. Most of the ones encounted are the same colour green as the leaves they are eating.
