Beetle larvae

FOE. These have been at my spuds and sweet potatoes. These are probably the worst pests I’ve encountered. They also eat onion bulbs, leaving the stem and roots behind.
Having done so, will then fan out. I’ve been told, that a single grub is capable of getting through takusan (a lot).

Beetle larvae can be a real problem in a garden. I didnt know that beetle larvae ate also eat onion bulbs as well. Do you know of any effective way to get rid of them?

They tend to eat the part between the bulb and the stem – just below the surface. I think a few years digging reduces them. Really after a chemical free solution myself.
